Well i can say that all of the headsets made by cherry mobile have good quality… I already tested it and so far it’s great…

Let’s proceed to reviewing… Okay i’ll be putting my phone on the hot seat… I’ll be rating some features from 1 to 5 stars so please enjoy reading this post…

The device’s quality is great.. You can hold the phone easily..

The back cover is glossy although what i don’t like about it is that it magnets fingerprints quickly… The screen also magnets fingerprints quickly… So for the build quality i will rate 4 out of 5 stars..

The display is great you can still see images clearly.. The response is fluid although for those people who have “Pasmado” hands like me.. It will be a problem.. So for the display i’ll rate 4 out of 5 stars…

Processor and GPU:

The processor is also great since Mediatek is the chipset used in this device.. We all know that mediatek is awesome for hard-core gaming process, so its normal… Luckily the GPU is Mali-400 and it really amazed me because it greatly rendered the games i installed on my phone (see the gallery below to see the games i played on my phone).. So for the processor and the GPU i will rate 5 stars for that..

The storage is the biggest problem here because the ROM is only 512MB and there is only a hundred fifty of free space, But luckily there is an option to install apps on the SD card.. The RAM is only 256MB, but sometimes i get a free space of 60MB up to 150MB… So for the storage i will rate 3 out of 5 stars..

The OS is good the vanilla UI adds to the beauty and coolness of the device… Although the lock screen widgets feature is missing on this android 4.2.2 software.. Well maybe because the screen is to small for that feature…

The back camera is also good, but it sucks when i used it on a very low light condition except when using the LED Flash.. Well i understand that because the camera is only 3 megapixel but i don’t underestimate it because on the other side, the camera is good on a bright condition.. On the images below, you can see the quality of the camera during bright light and low light condition..

Front Camera:

The front-facing camera is also good but only during a light condition scene… On low light.. It sucks.. See also the images below for the samples.. For the camera i’ll rate 3 out of 5 stars..

The internet connection is ok unfortunately the Jade does not support 3G Connectivity… But the 2G is still fast… The WI-Fi is fluid.. And Bluetooth and GPS are also fine..

The speaker is great and the microphone records sounds clearly… Making calls and text are fine.. I got an awkward moment when it comes to the headset jack because my EarPods are not compatible on it and i still need to buy an adapter to make it work properly… The microUSB port is placed on the top part of the phone beside the headset jack.. Well i tried a USB OTG checker app and it detects that the Jade supports USB OTG… But i haven’t tried it so do not believe about it at the moment…

Last is the Battery… Even if its a 1300mAh, it can still last a day for calls, text, mild gaming, and mild WI-Fi.. I’m also impressed with the battery because last week, it lasted for about 2 Days and 22 Hours.. with or without a help of a battery saver it can last for 2 days if you are using it for calls and text only, but if you use it for a straight gaming and WI-Fi it could only conserve for about 8 to 12 hours… So for the battery, i will give a perfect 5 stars…

Overall from 1 to 10, I will give a rate of 9..

Even if i already have an iPod Touch, I still want to have a new gadget for this christmas and that’s why i choose the Cherry Mobile Jade…

My message for Cherry Mobile is to keep up the good work and thank you for making this cool and powerful dual-core gadgets of yours affordable…

Well this wraps up our topic for today.. see you again next time for another unboxing and reviewing… This is JR Pamiloza of Filipinews™ Saying Thank You and God Bless..
