Okay let’s begin reviewing this device. I will rate 1-10 for each highlights that will be mentioned below..
1. Quality / Design:
The Quality is great.. Wow! it feels great when you hold it with one hand, its very compact to use.
The design that was used on this device is metal styled plastic sides and faux leather plastic cover on the back but has a different design compared to the Galaxy Note 3.
The front is covered with glass. On the top of front is the earpiece and the front facing camera while on the bottom is the physical home button with 2 capacitive buttons on each side which is the back button and the newly replaced recent task button..
Its 9 out of 10 for the Quality and Design.
The device has a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 480X800 that gives you a decent 207 pixels per inch…
The display is fine, although this device does not feature IPS which means it will turn on a different color when you look at it on different sides.
Its 7 out of 10 for the display.
This device runs on the latest version of Android which is the Version 4.4.2 KitKat.. It is skinned with samsung’s TouchWiz UI.. Some exclusive samsung apps and google apps were pre-installed on this device.
Its 9 out of 10 for the software.
The device runs on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor and has a Mali-400 GPU equipped. The hardware is great. The UI runs smoothly on this device. Some games like Candy Crush Saga, 2048, and Zombie Tsunami works perfectly on this device.
The device has a 4GB of Internal Storage with almost 2.5GB of free space for the apps and files. It has a 768MB of RAM and basically has a decent performance.
Its 8 out of 10 for the Hardware.
I haven’t try the data connection yet, but i believe it will be fast enough because it features HSPA+ on it.. It has Bluetooth 4.0 and its fine enough, too.. The Wi-FI speed depends on the users network but as for me it gives me a good time because it can load my website as fast as it can. The dual sim feature also works great..
Its 8 out of 10 for the connectivity.
The device sports a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus feature and an LED flash.. It can record videos up to only 480p@30fps.. The camera of this device is great.. Its colors are fine. Although it doesn’t give a great performance when taking a photo at night.. The device comes with a VGA front-facing camera, taking pictures on a light condition is great, but not on a dark condition..
Its 7 out of 10 for the Camera.
The device has a removable Li-Ion 2,000mAh Battery.. The device can last for a day based on my observation. Straight internet surfing and playing hard-core games could drain the phone’s battery quickly…
Its 8 out of 10 for the Battery
My final rating for this device is 8 out of 10… The device this device has a decent specs, although I’m disappointed on its screen resolution, other than that, everything seems to be great… Good Job Samsung!
